Terms of service

Last updated 8 September 2026. Written in plain words on purpose; if anything here is unclear, write to hello@ishirohq.com and we will explain it.

These terms are an agreement between you, the business using Ishiro, and Ishiro, the company that provides it. By creating a workspace you accept them. They are not a substitute for advice from your own lawyer, and we expect to be asked to sign your own agreement for larger contracts.

What Ishiro is

Ishiro reads bank statements, invoices and related documents that you give it, records what it reads, checks what it can, and keeps the result as a record you can export. It is a record-keeping tool. It is not a bank, a payment service, an accountant, a lawyer or a regulator, and it does not provide legal, tax or compliance advice.

What Ishiro will never do

  • Hold your money, receive it, or move it.
  • Make, approve, delay or block a payment. Only your bank can do that.
  • Decide a compliance question for you. Ishiro proposes; a person at your company decides, and the record shows who.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for meeting your own legal and regulatory obligations. Using Ishiro does not transfer them to us.
  • You confirm you have the right to give us the documents and data you upload, including any personal data in them.
  • You keep your login safe. One login belongs to one workspace, and everything done with it is treated as done by you.
  • You will not use Ishiro to break the law, to launder money, or to disguise the source of funds.

Accuracy

Ishiro reads documents automatically. It will sometimes be unable to read a field, and it says so rather than guessing. Where a figure could not be read or a statement did not balance, the record says that too. You should check what matters before you rely on it. We do not warrant that every reading is correct, and we are not liable for a decision you take on the basis of one without checking.

Trial, invoices and payment

  • A new workspace gets 14 days free. No card is taken and nothing is charged automatically.
  • After that we send an invoice by email. The workspace stays open while it is paid.
  • If an invoice is not paid by its due date the workspace continues for a grace period, then becomes read-only. Your records stay. They are not deleted for non-payment.
  • Prices are agreed with you in writing before the first invoice, and we give at least 30 days notice of a change.

Suspension

We may suspend a workspace if it is used unlawfully, if it puts the service or other customers at risk, or if an invoice is long overdue. Except where the law requires otherwise, we tell you why, and you keep the right to export your records.

Ending it

You can close your workspace at any time by asking us. When you do, we keep the records for 30 days so that a closure by mistake can be undone, then erase them. You can export everything before you go, and we will help you do it.

Your data is yours

You keep every right in the documents and data you upload and in the records Ishiro builds from them. We do not sell them, and we do not use one customer's data to serve another. See the privacy policy for what we do with it.

Liability

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud. Otherwise, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit or lost business, and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. If a change matters to you we will email the workspace owner at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you may close the workspace instead of accepting it.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction, unless we have agreed something else with you in writing.
